Obsidian spikes are only found in the Obsidian Forest biome. MCE got the idea from the ice spike plains biome. It actually uses that code.
Appearance[ | ]
Similar to the ice spike, but skinnier and shorter. They are made of obsidian instead of packed ice. These spikes generate in the obsidian forest.
Mushrooms have been known to grow on the spikes, and mobs are frequently seen spawning on them.
If there's a body of water, river or ocean, some spike will generate over them, but do not generate beneath the water. Even though they are still quite tall, but not as tall as the ice spikes, it is considered a small generated structure.
