Blue farmland was added because MCE thought it would be a good idea to be able to till Blue Dirt. Blue dirt can be obtained in the High Lands biome. You can till blue dirt with any hoe to get the farmland.

A special feature of this block is that you don't need a water source to grow your crops. It is naturally hydrated.

Obtaining

You can get this by tilling blue dirt with any hoe. Blue dirt is obtained from the high lands biome. Upon jumping on this block, it will turn back into blue dirt.

Usage

Used in farms to grow crops such as, wheat, carrots, potatoes, melons and pumpkins. You do not need this block to be near a water block to be hydrated, as this block is naturally and is always hydrated.

It is unknown if it makes crops grow faster.
