The erython (Err-thon) was randomly added in. When MCE made the autil block and the autil field he envisioned a mob similar to the blocks that generate in the biome. So he opened Techne and modeled it. The model was just a bunch of blocks. Upon putting the model in the mod, he had the idea of doing what the blaze did with it's rods. So he took the code form the blaze, messed around with the values to get a somewhat random movement of the small cubes. And actually, 2 of the cubes are hidden from the model. He also wanted particle effects, so he set them to the mob and messed with the particle ID number and eventually got the enchantment table particle, so he kept it. One of MCE's friend said it should have a glitchy computer sound effect, so MCE set it. The erython naturally spawns in the Autil Field.

It drops 0-1 erython cubes. MCE tweeted out a gif of the mob. [1] It uses the similar texture to the autil block, but tinted red. It doesn't have eyes on the face, it's all just one texture.

Bugs[edit | edit source]

Bug.png
Bug; 1.3: The mob doesn't spawn in it's biome.
Bug.png
Bug; 1.3: Sometimes if you spawn one in, and log off, when you go to log back on, you crash.
Bug.png
Bug; 1.4 - 1.5: Spawning one (Egg or natural) made your game crash because of ticking particle. (Even though the changelog says it was fixed, I guess it wasn't.)
